HOUSE TO CATCH THE SEA
In 2007 GIBERT&TAN was invited to collaborate with KAYA + for the design of a private residence on the island of Ooshima. The house is designed as a window catching the view together with a simple bedroom and a study in the attic. The chosen materials are all wood to structure and all interior finishes while the facade is made of corrugated metal sheets to resist the strong winds and rain in the region.
